The stereotypical approach to vitamin supplementation says that more of a good thing must be better. However research into vitamin supplementation in health and cancer indicates this may not be the case.
There is actually evidence that some vitamins may shorten our lives, causing us to die sooner from all different diseases. This is such a hotly-debated issue in today’s society that we will be publishing several articles discussing the topic.
Scientific evidence supports that people who regularly take vitamins and various antioxidant supplements actually have more cancer than people who eat good, balanced diet.
There is also evidence that vitamins in artificial form and dosage (i.e. tablets), do not contain the healthy balance of nutrients needed for optimum health. So it seems an apple a day may actually keep the doctor away, plus it’s cheaper and healthier.
